Optimal Operation of Microgrids with Demand-Side Management Based on a Combination of Genetic Algorithm and Artificial Bee Colony

An important issue in power systems is the optimal operation of microgrids with demand-side management. The implementation management programs, on one hand, reduces cost operating system, and other such programs requires financial incentive policies. In this paper, problem along (DSM) formulated as an optimization problem. Load shifting considered effective solution objective function to minimize total costs system load shifting, constraints include executive restrictions for shifting. Due dimensions problem, simultaneous combination a genetic algorithm ABC used way that by solving OPF applying it structure algorithm, main will be solved. Finally, proposed method evaluated under influence various factors, including types production units, loads, unit uncertainty, sharing grid, electricity prices all based different scenarios. To confirm method, results were compared algorithms IEEE 33-bus network, which was able reduce 57.01%.
